The Ski Show went great!! All proceeds went to benefit the Randolph County Animal Shelter and we were thrilled with the turn out. Thank you to all of you who came out to support the Animal Shelter and riders. I also have to say that everyone that had a part in the Ski Show did a great job of putting it on. According to the Randolph Leader and Patt High, one of the events primary organizers, the event brought twice as many spectators as last year. It was great to see so many people scattered along the boardwalk. The area was filled with families and participants, 67 participants to be exact. Also drawing a crowd, were exhibitions from the Colonel Biggs Alabama Show Ski Team and Matt Sims, a Hyperlite pro legion rider. Plans are already in action for next year's event which will also be held at Chimney Cove. The Colonel Biggs Ski Team has already agreed to perform again.

To name a few of the awards given: Best Skier in Show-Bobby Hampton, Killer Crash-Will Byrd, Best Wakeboarder in Show-Jarrett Sippola, Killer Crash-Kyle Norman, and Crowd Wow-Gavin Baker. Thanks to everyone who supported the event and we look forward to next year!

UGA Coach Mark Richt at Chimney Cove!

We don't know where he is going to school, but he sure looks happy!

On May 21st, UGA's head football coach, Mark Richt, visited Chimney Cove. Everyone had a great time! Good food and conversations were had by all. Coach Richt was so nice and took time to speak and get to know each and every person here that day! He was also happy to take pictures, sign helmets, posters and memorabilia. One of the highlights of the event was listening to his insight on the football team and their upcoming season.

Coach Richt expressed his excitement about the development of the golf course and owning a lot on the 1st green. We are thrilled to have him and truly appreciate his support and kind words. We hope you enjoy some of our favorite pictures from the night!

Spring Tour of Homes

The Lake Wedowee Spring Tour of Homes was a HUGE success! The rain held off for most of the day and a big crowd came out to view the homes and support Wedowee Middle School's PTO in their efforts to raise money for the school.

StoneCo Custom Homes, out of Carrollton, designed and built 4 out of the 5 homes on the tour this year. Everyone LOVED the homes and almost everyone had a different "favorite." It was a great kick-off to all of the exciting events coming up this Spring and Summer on the lake and at Chimney Cove!!
